This is an unusual breed whose main characteristic is loose skin and wrinkles covering the head producing a mournful expression with wrinkles consistent through the whole body. The dog weighs 45 to 60 pounds and is about 18 to 20 inches at the withers. A chinese shar pei rescue will usually have adult dogs not a puppy.
